A Message from Our Membership Chairman, 2009

Dear Current NCABA Members and Those Thinking of Joining the NCABA,

I would like to take a moment of your time to thank you for your interest in the Northern Cambria Area Business Alliance (NCABA) and to invite you to be part of what has become a driving force in the social and economic development of the communities surrounding the northern area of Cambria County.

The NCABA has grown from a handful of concerned professionals to 120 plus members from businesses and organizations, working together to revitalize our region.

We have facilitated strong working relationships with our local, county, state and regional government officials—working with them regularly on issues that impact all of our communities.

We have learned about various programs to assist our region grow and prosper. For communities, we connected to government and private agencies who offer assistance with municipal growth and promotion. For businesses, again we worked with private and government organizations who can provide support for new business development and expansion for existing businesses.

The NCABA has a forward looking goal of strengthening the relationships we have already established while creating our own strategies to discover solutions for those issues that often cause community obstacles; those that prevent us from growing both economically and socially. We are also dedicated in continuing the intra-municipal communication and outreach we are so proud to have fostered.

Please read the information in this packet and please review our website –www.ncaba-pa.com.

In 2008, we carried out many tasks—we awarded a $500 scholarship to a local college-bound student, we raised money through a golf tournament and dance with the funds reinvested in projects to offer a community expo of services and we are most proud of a donation to Miners Medical Center in the amount of $12,500 to help purchase heart monitoring equipment so our community residents don’t need to leave home to another town for care.

There are many opportunities for our region, but we need your help. Please consider joining your neighbors in the NCABA. We welcome your ideas and thoughts but we especially need your assistance and support.

Join the NCABA. You will be in good company! I have included a list of our 2008 members. I look forward to welcoming back all members and extending our gratitude to those of you who will be joining us for the first year...

Please feel free to contact me for further information regarding NCABA membership, 814-948-7880 or via email, ncaba@live.com.
