The Northern Cambria Area Business Alliance represents an intra-municipal partnership of professionals and individuals committed to the economic and social welfare of the communities that comprise and surround the northern area of Cambria County.

NCABA Membership Benefits...

• Regular bi-monthly meetings held to afford all members the opportunity to convey their issues.
• Bi-monthly newsletter to spread the word regarding events in your community and business.
• Each member is entitled to put a flyer in one newsletter per year, free of charge, reaching 200+ businesses!
• Meet and network with professionals in our region through business after hours, golf outings and other fun networking events!
• Workshops and guest speakers on subjects important to retain employees, overcome business obstacles and promote overall business and community growth.

• Annual Job and Career Fair is planned each April – free to all members hiring
• A fundraiser is being planned to assist the community by assisting the local organizations who serve the community

Path of Progress

• $500 Annual Scholarship awarded to a local high school senior.
• NCABA representatives appointed to boards and committees of: Cambria County Alliance for Business and Industry, Membership Chair Tim Whited sits on the Cambria County Planning Commission and on the CamTran Board where he is chairman of the rural route,
• Member of the Johnstown-Cambria County Chamber of Commerce with a non-voting board appointment
• Annual “Big Kahuna” Golf Tournament to raise funds to covert back into the community in the form of grant writing
• We have raised $21,500 in support of the community’s Miners Medical Center

A Message from Our Membership Chairman,

Dear Current NCABA Members and Those Thinking of Joining the NCABA,
I would like to take a moment of your time to thank you for your interest in the Northern Cambria Area Business Alliance (NCABA) and to invite you to be part of what has become a driving force in the social and economic development of the communities surrounding the northern area of Cambria County.

In 2009 we held a successful career fair, we offered the community educational events such as “Meet the Candidates for Judge” and “The State of the County Address”, we also held successful golf tournaments to raise funds for these events and kept our members informed with the newsletter and website.

In addition to being a part of the big picture in our smaller communities, here are some of the highlights of membership.

• Web site advertising on our webpage and the Northern Cambria Web Page for $50 Year
• Bi-Monthly Newsletters—your news published for free
• Help with Grand Openings and Anniversary Celebrations
• An 8-1/2x11” flyer inserted into our newsletter once per year
• Networking Events with Links to NCABA Members and Other Organizations
• Join the NCABA and then deduct $50 from Your Johnstown Area-Cambria County Chamber of Commerce Dues!

As always we will be working with all the communities that comprise the northern area of Cambria County and those organizations who have an interest in this area; we will continue to keep you informed of additional county and state organizations we work with.

Plans for 2010 include a fundraiser for a local community group, the Big Kahuna Golf Open on July 2 (mark your calendars now), Spring Career Fair and as always, bi-monthly meetings and networking events.
